Lucas signed his first word in sign language today. He can do the sign for "more". That's how much our baby loves food. I've been encouraging him to make the sign for the past few days while I feed him and today he figured it out. Then he proceeded to make the sign all through lunch to let me know he was not done. Especially once I got out the pomegranate frozen yogurt. Boy this kid can eat. I can't think of a better first sign for him.

How cute! I want to see him sign "more." He should learn "eat" next. That would be another good one for him.
The really great thing about signing while eating is that it is perfectly OK to "talk" with food in his mouth.
More would be my first choice of signs when it comes to food. He's got good taste.
