We're having a girl! We're so excited. I really wanted a girl, but for some reason I felt like it just wasn't going to happen. Ryan thought it was going to be a girl, though. When the ultrasound tech said, you're having a girl, I stared at her and said, "Are you serious!?" She looked a little worried like maybe I would hit her if she said yes, but I told her that I was very happy about it being a girl. Just to make sure she zoomed in really close for us and yep, no penis in sight. This is definitely a little girl.
She was very uncooperative for her pictures. She was wiggling all over the place and didn't want to let the technician get very good shots of her spine and a few other things. But after some coaxing and prodding, which she was NOT happy about, we got all the shots we needed and everything looks great!
I love being there and seeing the ultrasound screen. Everything looks so much clearer and makes way more sense when you're there, and then you get home and everything looks blurry and fuzzy. And also kinda creepy since the shapes no longer look attached to a little body, they are just sitting there. For instance, this hand was super cute when we took the picture...
But now it's just a creepy hand floating out in space. Oh well, it's still the cutest little creepy hand in the world to me.
And here is a new belly picture of me. I have definitely popped.
And here it is side by side with my 19 week picture with Lucas. Not a huge difference but I think I look a little smaller.
