2 Months

Logan is 2 months!  He has started smiling and talking and interacting with us a bit more and it's so much fun.  He was not a huge fan of his shots that he got, and pretty much refused to sleep for the next 24 hours, but now that we're passed that he's back to his usual sleeping habits.  He sleeps really great from 9pm-3am, and pretty much any other time I have to be holding him for him to sleep.  Every once in a while I get lucky and he'll take a good nap in the crib or bassinet, but usually I wear him in the moby wrap all day and he sleeps great like that all cuddled up next to me.  He will usually also sleep in bed cuddled up next to me so that's what I do from 4-7 in the morning and when I really need a nap in the afternoon.

He really is obsessed with me.  With our other kids I was determined that they would go to me and Ryan equally as well and they always did. But with Logan we pretty much feel like almost every moment we're in crisis mode and we're just surviving, and I don't have time to think about who's holding who.  Okay, maybe not quite that bad but still...  I kinda like having Logan love me so much, though.  He's going to be a mama's boy.

I couldn't decide which picture to use for Logan's two month photo because there were some really good ones and they are all so perfect for the stage he's at right now.  Here's my two other favorites: his cute little smile, and him eating his hands that he loves so much.

Lucas's First Day of Kindergarten

Lucas started Kindergarten today.  We are all so excited!  Here he is in his first day of school outfit and brand new shoes.
Paigey wanted to pose in her new clothes and shoes too.
I know this post is all about Lucas but...I mean...are you kidding me?!  I can't even handle all the cuteness.
They sure do love each other.
And of course the shoe picture.
I have been so ready for this day to come and really to be honest I'm not sad about it at all.  I just know Lucas is so excited and ready and eager to go and learn.  And well, he's a handful and I'm ready to have a break from him.  I guess I maybe would have gotten teary eyed this morning if I wasn't so busy worrying about getting him to school on time with all the stuff he needed.  One of Lucas's parents get teary eyed though, and I'll just leave it at that.  :)
Here he is waiting in line to go into his class.
Ryan stayed for the first few minutes of class to take pictures for the teacher.  I may have volunteered him, just so I could get some pictures of Lucas in his class.  And so the teacher will like us.  :)
I'm excited for this new step for Lucas, and he is too.  We'll just have to see if he's excited to go back tomorrow.

Logan Talking and Smiling

Logan has been smiling for the last few weeks but it has been really hard to catch it on camera.  He's really smiley in the mornings especially.  He just lights up when he sees us.  I finally got a picture of him smiling at Lucas.  It's not really that big of a smile, but it's the best I've been able to get.
He's so handsome.
And I love this face that he makes.
Logan seems so much more vocal than I remember my other two being.  He likes to talk and coo at us when he's happy.  It's really cute!  He also is really vocal when he's unhappy.  He has some serious volume.  He'll be sitting there eating in the middle of the night and everything is silent, and then he'll get upset about something and just start screaming this high pitched banshee scream.  It's not as cute as his cooing, I'll tell you that much.  Here's a video of him talking.  The first half is him talking to me, and the second half is him talking to Lucas.  He really seems to like Lucas, and Lucas is obsessed with him!

Logan's Baby Blessing

We blessed Logan at home this Sunday morning.  We had some trouble figuring out a day that worked for as much of our family as possible, but in the end I think it turned out nicely.  Both Ryan's parents and my parents were able to make it out, and Lucas and Paige had so much fun playing with both sets of grandparents.  Lucas and Paige were both pretty much silent for their blessings, so I think Ryan was a little caught off guard when Logan started screaming in the middle of his.  It was still a beautiful blessing, though.

Here's the whole group.  We're a little smushed.
 Here's my sweet little family.
And my sweet little baby.
I can't believe I forgot to get a picture of Ryan's parents with Logan, but here he is with his Crapo grandparents.
And here's a few pictures I got of him in his cute blessing outfit.
 Baby feet!!
It's so nice being able to visit with family.  Thanks to those that were able to make it out.
