Pizza Night

So last night we decided to get together with some friends and make pizza. I found the recipe for the crust online and it was amazing. It only had to raise for 10 minutes and it was so fluffy and yummy. We each made our own pizza.

Our friend was an expert pizza maker. He tossed it and everything. He had the most perfectly round pizza I've ever seen made by hand.

The Husband tried tossing his a few times as well. He might need practice.

Here are the finished products. Well, almost finished, our friend had to add Barbecue sauce to the top of his, and then we all decided that would be a good idea.

And we played Set while we waited for the pizza to cook. I know I'm not in the picture, but I played too and I schooled everyone. Just thought I'd let you know.

I don't have a picture of us eating the pizza. I guess we were all to busy gorging ourselves to be bothered with it. It was so yummy, though and so much fun. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for the fun night guys!!

Valentine's Day

So, I know this is a little late, but I thought I'd tell you all what we did for Valentine's day this year.

I told my husband he was not allowed to send me flowers at work, so I was very surprised when these showed up in my office. Teddy Bear and all.

I know the Teddy Bear is pretty cheesy but I love it all the same. I'm sure all of my coworkers thought I was the silliest engineer they met. (Getting flowers on Valentine's day? How impractical) But it wasn't even impractical because they were ordered from a place that sends them while they are still pretty much closed as you can see from the picture, and then they open up while you have them and they last a lot longer. Here is a picture of them 3 days later.

Needless to say, I loved them, and I forgave him for sending me flowers. He was just trying to butter me up so I'd help him with his test. He had a huge test on Valentine's day. Jerk engineer teachers assigning tests on Valentine's day! He didn't get back from taking the test till 10 so we didn't go out and celebrate until the next night. We went to the Cheesecake factory. Even though it was the day after Valentine's day, the wait was still 2 hours when we got there. Good thing we got there early so I could do some shopping in the mean time. :)

The food was delicious, especially the cheesecake. It was pretty expensive, but we had a gift card that my work gave me as a Christmas gift so we hardly had to pay anything. It was great! I'm always embarrassed asking the waiter to take a picture of us at restaurants, but after asking the waiter at park city to take a picture of us after we'd eaten a $200 meal, Cheesecake Factory wasn't that big of a deal. It Starts

So....here it is...our first post. So, I guess I was so jealous of knowing what was going on in everyone's lives that we felt it necessary to update everyone on our un-eventful lives.

We'll do our best. For best results, subscribe to our blog so that you get notifications when we update our blog (which, with luck, will hopefully be more than once or twice a week).

So, here's what's new with the husband during January:

One snowy day, I went to pick up Sarah for lunch. Well, some RAC van thought that they deserved more of the snowy roads than I did! Long story short, my car didn't stop fast enough and I had a nice run in with his bumper.

But I was resourceful and decided to fix it myself instead of calling the insurance:

Its not perfect...and not even painted...but hey, $84 sure beats the $500 deductible!

My dad somehow got some sweet ski passes to Park City Mountain Resort. Being the favorite son (just kidding all you brothers out there) he took me up one Saturday to enjoy the sunny day. :P And yes, we ARE wearing goggles from the 80's that were purchased in bulk from Costco.

And last but not least, my (insert relationship here) Jessica is a novelist and just released her 2nd book, "Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow." The wife has already read it and said that it was really good. It's now number 2 on my list of books to read. "Dragon Slippers" being number 1, and the first book published by Jessica. I shamefully admit that I seldom find the time to read outside of school. Hopefully this summer will bring about some change. Here's a photo of the book signing at Barnes and Noble:
