11 Months

Logan has been sleeping through the night for a couple weeks now.  It is amazing!  He is my worst sleeper of the three, but we finally got him to make it though the night.  I think he just wasn't eating enough before, but now that I've weaned him and I'm feeding him more solid foods, he can go longer at night. He pretty much loves everything he eats, and eats the same amount or more than Paige does right now. We've started giving him milk in a bottle since I weaned him, and he LOVES it!  He gets so excited when he sees the bottle, and he gets mad when the milk is gone and tries to hold onto it with a death grip.  It's kinda funny.

Logan still loves playing outside.  He's walking so much better now than he was a month ago.  He doesn't put his hands out like he used to, which I'm a little sad about. He still loves playing on slides, and he knows how to go down them backwards and on his tummy.

We've been trying to work with him and get him to say words, but the only thing he has said is "dada".  He's been saying it for a few weeks now, but I think he's starting to really understand what it actually means. I just need to keep working on getting him to say mama.

He's been so much fun lately.  I love this stage!

Lucas's Birthday Weekend

Lucas is a lucky boy because his birthday will always be near or on memorial day weekend.  Paige's is the same with Labor day.  We sure did time those well.  Poor Logan. Anyway, for Lucas's birthday we had three days of fun.  Neil and Ashley just happened to be coming to visit this weekend too, so Lucas got to play with cousins for his birthday.  We started off the festivities with a day in Santa Cruz.  We went to the Boardwalk. The kids had so much fun going on rides.
I love Paige in this one.  She was always so good at posing and smiling while on the rides.
After the Boardwalk,we went to the beach.  It was super windy, and not really warm enough, but the kids still had a blast making sand castles.
Logan has been to multiple beaches before, and even this beach before and been totally fine, but he was not super impressed this weekend. I forced him to walk around just long enough to get cute pictures.

After the beach we went back to grandma and grandpa's house for dinner. Lucas has been asking to have crab legs for dinner for forever. I'm not really sure why.  I think he just saw them at Costco one day and decided he wanted to try them. So we made crab legs for dinner that night.  They were so delicious!  Any excuse to have crab legs.
Sunday was Lucas's actual birthday so after church we headed down to my parent's house for more food and playing with cousin's. Of course they all had to get in the hot tub.
Then Lucas opened presents. Neil and Ashley even brought a present for him from Arizona - so nice of them!
Lucas isn't a huge fan of cake, he'd rather just eat the ice cream, so we had banana splits for his birthday dessert.  It was a little bit trickier to put candles in.
He and Paige both love vanilla ice cream.
On memorial day we spent the morning just playing with all the toys he got for his birthday. He built log cabins...
Legos...

And made cool circuit experiments...
This was the present from Neil and Ashley.  SO Cool!

Then in the afternoon we played with the other present Lucas got for his birthday.  He had been begging for this motor boat every time we went to Costco for months so we finally broke down and got it for his birthday.
It's huge and we have no idea where we'll store it, and we have to sneak into the residence inn pool to even use it, but he LOVED it!  Here he is giving Paige a ride.
And all three. I'm not sure why Paige looks dead in this one.
We got Wendy's frosties too, cause the pool is right by Wendy's, and cause they are delicious!
We had such a fun weekend celebrating Lucas's birthday.  And we had fun spending time with family too.  I think Lucas is pretty spoiled!

10 Months

I'm getting this month post up a little late because we were too busy having fun in Hawaii.  Logan did SO well on the trip.  He was an angel on both flights, took naps in the car really well, and even slept through the night most nights.  In fact, on this trip Logan slept through the night for the first time.  He was just so tired from not getting regular naps during the day that he slept through the night no problem.  The few nights he did wake up in the middle of the night, I just had to give him his pacifier and he went right back to sleep.  Before I would have to rock him (and nurse him) to get him to go back to sleep. Here he is on the plane.
Logan has always loved baths and playing in the water, but on this trip we discovered that he likes swimming in the warm ocean just as much. He kept trying to push away from me and just head out on his own. Silly boy!

Logan is getting so much more mobile.  He walks more than crawls now.  It's still a slow walk and I seriously can't get enough of how adorable and ridiculous he looks.  I take videos of him walking almost every day because it cracks me up and makes me so happy to see him walking.
He has also figured out how to crawl down the stairs and get off of the couch.  I love watching babies back up to go down the stairs.  They always start like 2 feet away so they have to back up for a while till they get there.

The other big milestone is that I weaned Logan.  He has just never been a very good nurser and then his teeth came in and I just decided he was done!  He weaned really easily, since he didn't really care too much for it anyway.  He loves solid foods so I think he's happier just having more of those anyway.  I told myself I'd nurse him till 18 months when he was first born, and he weaned the earliest of all the kids. Oh well, it just goes to show you that kids have a mind of their own.
