Happy Halloween

We got all dressed up in our costumes and went out to take pictures before our ward trunk or treat on Saturday.  Lucas is the fiercest Spider-man I've ever seen.  Here he is shooting his webs.
He has been running around the house in his costume for the last two weeks, shooting webs and beating things up.  And now he thinks if he smiles really big, we'll let him get hopped up on candy.
Paige is going to be a pumpkin.
We got the hat as a baby present, and I made the tutu and onesie to go with it.  I'm pretty sure every one of her Halloween costumes for the foreseeable future is going to involve a tutu.  They are just so dang cute.
Now we just have to wait for tomorrow night so we can load up on candy.  Lucas can't wait!

Getting Bigger

Paige is finally getting big enough to fit in her 0-3 month size clothes.  Up until now she could only wear the newborn sizes.  It's so much fun getting to try new outfits on her.  Here's the first dress she wore to church, besides her blessing dress.
I forgot to do her flower in the first one so I had to retake it a little later, but she wasn't as happy about being a model the second time around.
Yesterday we tried on her jeans for the first time.  I love jeans on babies.  I was getting a little sick of using the exact same pose for every picture, but she looks a little slumped and uncomfortable in this chair.  Oh well.
Big yawn...
I love her little shoes.  They are her one and only pair.  I keep telling Ryan she needs a pair to go with every outfit but he's not falling for it.
Lucas has figured out that he can hold Paige and carry her around.  He's pretty gentle for the most part, and as long as I follow him around, I'm okay with him trying to play with her.  He's such a good big brother.
Paige is still just a perfect little angel.  She has been sleeping from 9pm to 5am on a pretty regular basis lately.  The other day she slept in till 6:30.  It was wonderful.  She has had a few grumpy days, but nothing that some snuggling couldn't fix.  For the most part she just coos and talks and smiles all day long.  Isn't she just the most precious thing you've ever seen?

Baby Blessing

Last weekend we blessed Paige in church.  Ryan's parents flew out from Utah to be there, and my parents and a bunch of my family from San Jose came up too.  The blessing was beautiful.  Afterwards we came back to our place for a luncheon and to sit and chat for a while.  Ryan's parents had to leave early to catch their flight back home, but we were able to get a picture with them really quick right before they left.
Here's our cute little family.
And here's most of the group that came up from San Jose.  We were trying to use the tripod to take the picture so that everyone could be in it, but out of all the pictures we took, this is the only one that ended up looking decent, and about 4 people got chopped off the edges.  Next time we'll just have to kick someone out of the picture so they can take it.
And here's the men that were in the blessing circle (except for Ryan's dad).  They all look so handsome!  :)
I took these pictures of Paige a few days later.  It was easier to not have to worry about entertaining and trying to get cute pictures of her on the same day.  I was hoping those few extra days would give her a chance to grow into her dress a bit... it didn't really work.  Oh well, she still looks cute.
Here's a shot of the whole dress.
And one with the bonnet.  It was way to big to wear.  She wasn't a huge fan of it either.  I think her sad face is so cute, though.
Close up of the pretty detail.
And look at those adorable little feet!  I know my mom and dad will love this one.
It was a busy weekend, but it was nice to have so much family come out to be there for the special occasion.  Thanks!

Livermore Airport

The Livermore airport has an open house every year the beginning of October.  They have all these cool planes out to look at, and they do an air show.  When we got there they were right in the middle of the air show, so as we were driving up on the freeway, we got to watch a plane doing loop-the-loops and nose dives and stuff.  It was really cool.

We ran into some friends while we were there.  Zac showed Lucas all the coolest planes.
They had one of the planes open so people could climb inside and take a look.  Lucas liked pretending to drive the airplane.
Lucas liked this plane because he said it looked like a dinosaur.

This shark plane was his favorite.
They also had some other booth type things there.  One of them was put on by the Livermore fire department.  They were doing a demonstration about fire safety.  They had this trailer with a kitchen where they went over the different things you're supposed to do for different fires and circumstances.  Then they had all the kids practice climbing out a window from a room filled with fake smoke.  It was actually really cool.
I was really surprised that Lucas let the fireman help him down the ladder.  We went back and did it again because he enjoyed it some much.  He is now a pro at climbing out windows.
Then we watched some airplanes take off on the runway.  We love that our city does cool stuff like this all the time.  And it was free!

One Month Old

We are having so much fun with his little baby girl.  She is such an angel!  She's eating well, sleeping well, and she has even started smiling at us.  And for proof of that, here is her first smile caught on camera.
She loves her daddy!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday on a preschool field trip.  The kids made shirts in preschool this week so they would have matching shirts to wear for all the field trips. Here's the whole group on the haystack. There were 10 people all trying to take pictures at once so I decided to just let one of them email me the final picture.
Lucas loved climbing on this thing.
Next we went to feed the goats.  Lucas thought it was hilarious that the goat was eating straight out of the cup.
After that there was a little story time and the kids learned about different farm animals. Then we went to pick out some pumpkins from the patch.
Lucas found his perfect pumpkin!
After that we had snack time and the kids ran around and played.
Lucas was trying to hide in the pumpkins.
Paige spent the whole field trip sleeping, but she woke up for a little bit at the end so we decided to get a picture on the hay.
We left tired and dirty and ready for naps.
