Yoga

Me and Bret doing Tree Pose 7 years ago

I used to do Yoga all the time with my brother and sister back before I got married. Then I decided I'd rather stay in bed with my husband than get up with the sun to do sun salutations at the park. Also, our favorite yoga teacher had a baby so she was out of commission. Then I had a baby... anyway, I stopped working out all together for a while there. Then about a year and a half ago some friends of mine started a morning exercise group. We were doing cardio and weights and stuff but I was exercising again and on a much more regular basis than I had ever done in my life basically. I felt pretty good.

But just recently I started working some yoga in to my exercises. I was working out after Lucas went to bed because that was the only time I had and I wanted to do something more low impact. I forgot how much I LOVE yoga. And I'm actually getting an intense work out too. I've been doing it like 3 or 4 times a week now and I'm amazed at how much happier I feel when I'm done. Maybe it's just because I'm really good at it and so it feels good to excel at something. But I like to think it's because yoga is awesome.

You better believe I can do these balance poses.

I don't love doing yoga, but I do always feel amazing afterwards. You'll have to show me how to do that first pose when you come out here. I can do the crow pose . . . or at least I could back when I did yoga regularly. It looks so impressive. Good job getting back on track!

That picture of you and Bret is one of my favorites.
Ummmm. I'm not sure I believe you can do those balance poses, but I still think you are pretty amazing. When you move to California, perhaps you can teach me some yoga.

I watched Katie do those poses on the dressing room floor of Nordstrom today. She's pretty impressive! Also impressive was Lucas doing the poo pose while in the Nordstrom dressing room.

I also miss Charee. Her yoga class was worth waking up at the crack of dawn. Especially those classes at the mouth of Rock Canyon:)

If I tried to do those poses, I would break something or get stuck.
