Warm Weather Food

Since it's warming up outside I decided to break out the ice cream maker. I decided to make some berry frozen yogurt. I've tried to make raspberry sorbet before but the sifter I have wasn't a fine enough mesh to get the seeds so it just didn't turn out very good. Then I found a fine mesh sieve at the store and I was instantly in love. It worked perfectly.

I got some corn on the cob to go with our summery meal.

Lucas was a huge fan.

And this doesn't have to do with food, but Lucas has been a huge daddy's boy lately. He ran and hopped into bed to cuddle with dad the other morning and I just had to get a picture. So cute!

That berry yogurt looks so-o-o-o good. How about the recipe?

The berry frozen yogurt looks yummy! We made some mango lime sorbet the other day with fresh mango. I recommend it! Lucas looks so cute all snuggled up with his daddy.

I think Lucas is happier about the snuggling than Ryan is. Ryan looks like he just wants to be left alone so he can sleep. Who can blame him for that? It is a cute picture.

I love summer cooking. Its fun to think of healthy foods that don't heat up the kitchen--and yes, berry frozen yogurt is on my list of healthy foods. I figure there's no point in getting too "snooty" about what's healthy and what's not...
