We are in our third week of potty training. Lucas is doing great. We even took him to church in his underwear yesterday. Yikes! But no accidents, the whole day actually. Lucas had like 3 days last week with no accidents.I've gotten a couple remarks about how early I started potty training him, and although I think it's perfectly acceptable to start potty training at two regardless of the circumstances, I think Lucas was especially ready. Lucas has been notifying us when he has to go poop for months now. We had the potty chair sitting in the family room to get him used to sitting on it, and he would take off his diaper and go in the potty all by himself, but then try to transport the cup with pee in it to the toilet by himself too. And sometimes he decided the floor would be just as good a place to pee as the potty chair. So we decided that as long as we were going to have pee all over the house anyway, we might as well get him trained at the same time.
And now after two weeks we're happy we did. We might not have been happy at day two, but we're happy now. And so is our bank account!

Lucas is adorable and is smarter than everyone else's kids ;) That's why you could potty train him earlier.
Glad it's going so well. It makes a big difference not buying diapers :) Does he sleep in a pull up or do you have him in underwear?
Lucas has done such a good job with potty training. He has seemed like he was ready for training for quite some time. You're the mom and you should do what seems right to you. Nobody know Lucas better than you do. I think the other moms are just jealous cuz you don't have to buy diapers anymore and they still do. (heehee)
