The YMCA here in Livermore does an Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast the Saturday of Easter weekend. We had a lot of fun! The pancakes were yummy, and they had egg hunts every 30 minutes so Lucas got to do three of them. It was a good thing too, because there were so many people Lucas only got 4 or 5 eggs each time.
Lucas got pretty good at getting the eggs by the 3rd time around.

We had a fun day on Easter. Lucas woke up bright and early to find his Easter basket. After church we went to San Jose to have dinner with my family. I didn't get any pictures, but as soon as my dad updates his blog I will link to it because he got some really cute pictures of Lucas and his new cousin Scott. Lucas is so gentle with babies. Hopefully he keeps that up!
The next day Ryan had a day off of work so we decided to take a trip to the beach. Lucas got a shovel in his Easter basket and he was dying to try it out. We went to a beach by Half Moon Bay that is supposed to have some cool tide pools. We got there too late to see the tide pools, but we still had fun just playing on the beach and in the waves.

We stopped to have a picnic lunch. Lucas was curled up in his towel warming up after getting wet in the cold water.
Then we made sand castles.
Lucas kept knocking the castles over before we could add more so this was the biggest one we got.

Okay, Ryan said I have to post this picture eve though it's terrible! I wanted to get a picture with me before we left since I'm never in any of the pictures, but Lucas was terrified that a wave was going to get him so he wouldn't stay put and kept struggling. Combine that with my pregnant body not being able to squat and balance at the same time and we almost tipped over. Thanks Ryan for getting that unflattering shot.
Ugly picture aside, we had a great time and Lucas has been telling me ever since we left that he LOVED the beach. We had a fun and relaxing Easter weekend!

Haha, love that last picture. :) Lucas is getting so big! I noticed that his hair isn't fluffy like it used to be :( It's been too long. It looks like you guys had a really good time and I'm jealous that you have the ocean so close!!

The "ugly picture" is fantastic. It almost looks like you were trying to pose that way. Love it! I love going to the beach. Its nice to live in California and have a beach close by. You and I and Lucas should plan a beach day soon. The shovel that Lucas got for Easter is perfect for digging in the sand.
