I Love my Crafts!

In preparation for our move, I've been finishing up all the crafts that I've been meaning to get to. I'm getting really worried that I'm not getting anything done for our move right now and in a month we're going to have to try to do everything in one day. But what else can I do? I can't pack up our stuff right now; we're still using it. But there were crafts that needed to be finished, so I started there.

On Memorial Day I went to Joann's and bought a bunch of stuff for this endeavor, everything was on sale and I made out like a bandit. Also, I had a gift card so double score!

I finished up some baby blankets that I had cut all the pieces for but hadn't gotten around to finishing them. These probably look familiar because, when I got the material I got enough to make two of each - one to keep, and one to give away. I made the first ones a while ago, and I'm just now getting around to finishing the seconds.

One of these goes to my almost nephew due in a few months. I wanted to get it all packed up and sent out before we move into a hotel and don't have access to anything. Baby stuff is so cute!

I'm really nervous about packing up my silhouette. What if I need to cut out cute letters or shapes and stuff? Scissors are just not going to cut it. Hahahaha! I'm hilarious. I did my last scrapbook project for a while. I had Ryan write down what he said for Lucas's blessing on the day of, so now we have a copy of it in his scrapbook if he ever wants to read it.

This is a project that I've really been wanting to try out just to see if I can do it. Answer, yes I can! I took an old tank top I never wear anymore, and made a shirred sundress for a little girl. It was super easy. I might even make a big one for myself. For the full tutorial, go here.

The problem is, now I'm done with all the crafts I was supposed to do, and it's still too early to pack. I mean, I've been going through some of our stuff, but we really haven't accumulated that much. So what now? Should I start a new craft (I really want to, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go through withdrawals), or should I start tackling the bigger cleaning projects like cleaning behind the fridge? How does one clean behind a fridge? Will it still be clean in a month? Ideas? Suggestions?

Wow, these projects turned out so cute! That onesie with the appliqué and owl blanket are such a great gift. Too bad you have to give them away. And I don't think your landlord will even look behind the fridge.

Cathy will probably definitely look behind your fridge! (I'm trying to remember if she did with ours.) At the very least, if you clean it now it will be a quick, easy clean right before you leave. That sun dress looks really cute! What a great idea! I'm kinda going through craft withdrawals now too, but in the next few weeks I'll have enough to keep my mind off it until we are unpacked. Just stay busy doing other things, like cleaning the light fixtures, light bulbs, towel racks, tops of cabinets, etc. You know all the super important stuff that Cathy will be looking for.

Definitely clean the fridge now. It might just need a quick vacuum later if you do it now. Cute crafts! Now if I would only get all my sewing projects finished too...

The sun dress is so cute! I love it! And I would say clean the fridge now. There might be one dust bunny by the time you leave, but I'm sure it would be fine to do now!

All those things on your to do list make me tired Kate-shine. Lets go to the pool instead. Way more fun, way more relaxing. Plus once you leave I'll have to start going by myself so we need to go as much as possible before then. Monday? We can make BBQ sandwiches again!
