My sister in law Becky is visiting for a few days so we decided it would be fun to make some yummy food and go swimming. We started out the day by making crepes. We made orange and mascarpone crepes with raspberries on top. We also had freshly squeezed orange juice using some of the oranges from Becky's tree in California.

Licking the beaters

Assembling the crepes

Eating the crepes...they were so good!
After breakfast we went to the pool to lay out and relax. Lucas played in the baby end of the pool. He LOVED it! Last year he wasn't too sure about being wet and cold but this year he thought is was amazing. He played for 2 hours and even by the end when he was shivering he cried when it was time to leave.

Lookin' good

I'm so happy it's finally warm and the pools are opening up.
After the pool we went shopping and got stuff for lunch. By the time we were actually done shopping and making it, it was actually dinner. Oh well. We made shredded barbecue chicken sandwiches. We had italian sodas to go with it.

Julie and Christian have these awesome napkin rings. I got the cheetah.

We also made prosciutto wrapped goat cheese and pears. These were amazing! I could have eaten them all night long.
It was such a fun day, I wouldn't mind doing this every day.

Belle Monet! Call me the next time you're there! :)
I miss the days of swimming at Julie's pool and making yummy stuff to eat. It sounds like you guys are having fun with Becky. And Lucas looks like he really enjoys the pool.
Um... we are making crepes next time we hang out. The end.
I keep hearing about these mascarpone crepes and I really want to try them. The pears look really good too. Looks like a fun day!
It definitely was a fun and delicious day! Also my legs are so white I think I glow in the dark.
I love how the post about my work gets like 2 views...but the post about food gets like 5 million.
What pool do you go to?
You guys always make such delicious food when you are at Julie's house. Wish I had been there to help you eat it! The pool pictures are fun. I like the one of Julie and Becky relaxing and reading by the pool. Looks like they are living the good life!
