100 Days

I have 100 days left till my due date. It seems like so long but I'm almost 2/3 of the way there. He's going to be here before we know what happened. The first 180 days seemed to take forever, but now that I look back I can't believe how time has flown.

Seeing the 100 days left makes me think about the 100th day of school. We used to bring in 100 of something to show everyone. I preferred to bring in 100 things you could eat. I think to celebrate my 100 days left I will eat 100 of something. Maybe m&m's, or those mini marshmallows, or chocolate covered raisins, or 100 cups of ice cream. Yummm! I might have to have Ryan help me with the ice cream. Or maybe I will buy 100 things, like baby clothes, and clothes for me, and baby toys, and fabric for more baby crafts. Any other ideas on what I should do to celebrate my 100 days left?

I think buying 100 things is a fantastic idea. I should fly out to Utah and help you. Shopping for babies is my favorite pastime. And of course we would need to buy a few things for you--'for you must have new wedding clothes (er, maternity clothes...) and I know all the best places...we'll settle with your (husband) about the money afterwards; but the things should be ordered immediately! Oh, Hill, Hill....'

Congrats on the 100 day mark. Time really does fly! Right now 100 cheetos sound good to me (normally I would be repulsed by this) or maybe 100 pieces of Brazilian cheese bread (can you tell I'm craving salt and cheese?)

Wow, your day will be here before you even know it! How exciting!! Any names yet??

I would leave the house at will 100 times, with no diapers/shoes/coats/blankies/melt-downs/blow-outs to worry about. And go places where you know that you can't go one the baby is either in arms or left at home (i.e the theater or the temple or a nice restaurant). The baby is worth the trade-off of the freedom, but you'll miss the freedom less if you take advantage now!

Good luck in the final stretch!

Maybe Ryan should give you 100 flowers. You've earned it!

I'd buy 100 diapers. You'll need them!

You should buy me 100 little presents that add up to something enormous and grandiose. You're so freaking lucky. I'm pretty sure that since I'm only 15 weeks, I have at least 437 days to go. I hate you. Now send me my presents.

I can tell by the comments who the newer parents are :) I agree with them and would say do a 100 things that you won't be able to do once the baby comes- like sleep in on a Saturday, go out on a date without the additional cost of a babysitter, take a 30 minute shower without a child screaming or banging on the door, sleep through the night, go out to lunch with a friend without a feeding/crying interuption, sit through church and actually be able to pay attention to the full length of the talk...
