I've recently been thinking a lot about a summer vacation. I really need a break! I guess Ryan probably does too. He's going to be taking classes full time this summer so the only time we could go is in August. I'm trying to decide where we should go. We should probably just go camping somewhere in Utah to save money, but lately I've been dreaming about going somewhere tropical. I really want to go to Hawaii. I've never been before. I'd also really like to go on another cruise. Ryan wants to go to back to Brasil. So many choices... what do you guys think? Any ideas?

Well, I know Austin isn't exactly a prime summer vacation destination (unless you like it hot hot hot), but don't rule it out if you decide to take an econo-trip: FREE room & board, FREE sightseeing tours, and FREE babysitting..that is, we'd let you babysit for free! And then we could add FREE birth control to the list.
You and me both! I am dreaming of a vacation that doesn't involve family or going to Utah! (No offense to you guys or anyone else, but sometimes you just want to be ALONE with the husband on a deserted tropical island).
I would say somewhere tropical. You guys can always go camping, especially when you have kids, go somewhere exotic and unexpected-- take advantage of this final year that you can take vacations without children! And August is actually a cheap time to go to Hawaii because it is the off season. Go and have your dream vacation!
And then come and visit us in San Francisco or San Diego (we have apartments in both places- so take your pick!)
I don't want you to go anywhere that would make me jealous. So I think you should go camping in the mountains.
But...if I were picking, I would say Brazil. Or somewhere tropical. Probably Brazil though.
Just go somewhere that it doesn't snow one day and then turn up to 90 degrees the next day. Utah is whacko, and this is coming from a Utah native!
