Bored

I've been really bored with our dinner choices for a while now, and by the time dinner rolls around I have no desire to make anything because nothing sounds good or exciting. So I either throw something together that isn't necessarily good or healthy, or we go out to eat which definitely isn't healthy and isn't good for our budget either. So, I just spent the last hour on the food network website looking up fun new recipe ideas. I'm going grocery shopping as soon as Lucas wakes up from his nap, and hopefully tonight we'll have something yummy for dinner. I'll post the recipes that are a hit. And in the mean time, if you have any yummy dinner ideas, let me know.

I get most of my new dinner ideas from watching food network or the website too. I made this delicious Italian Mac and Cheese recipe recently. It's a baked Macaroni and cheese with Italian sausage in it. It was really good and pretty easy.

PS I didn't add the mushrooms.

I like this site, http://www.kraftrecipes.com/home.aspx. and http://www.cooking.com/Recipes-and-More/. I made a Weight Watchers chicken pot pie tonight that was really good but neither of you need to watch the calories.

Ashley and I were getting a little bored of our standard pizza recipe, so last night I made something kinda like this: http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/512/California_Pizza_Kitchen_Original_BBQ_Pizza35494.shtml

We made lil' smokies on Sunday and after frying the chicken breasts for the pizza in bacon grease I let them cook the rest of the way with the smokies in the barbeque sauce in a crockpot. I added bacon crumbles and pineapple to the pizza and used Sweet Baby Rays barbeque sauce. It wasn't healthy. It was good. Really good.

I made some orange chicken over rice the other night for the first time. It was pretty good. I was trying to find a use for the plethora of oranges in our backyard. If anybody wants some fresh oranges, feel free to come get some. Seriously.

We had Almond and Parmesan Crusted Tilapia that was really good that could also be done with chicken tenders or breasts. http://oldmancrapo.blogspot.com/2010/02/almond-and-parmesan-crusted-tilapia.html
Good luck on the yummy good search.
