Favortie Things

It's been over 3 weeks now and we're starting to get to know this new baby of ours. He is very picky about how he is held and loves to scream bloody murder for no reason at all. Some of his favorite things that we've learned so far are...

Being in his car seat and riding in the car...

Sleeping with his hands by his head...

Helping mommy with the laundry...

Tummy time...

Having his diaper changed, he used to hate it but now just putting him on his mat calms him down...

Bath time...

Being outside, especially with daddy...

And I don't have a picture, but he loves the sound of running water, he could be screaming at the top of his lungs but if I turn on the faucet, he just stops and looks around. It's adorable; not the screaming part, though.

Last weekend was rough, Ryan and I gave talks in church, I got sick, and Lucas decided he wanted to be grumpy all day long for like 4 days straight. Yesterday, though, he was a little angel and I got to get some stuff done around the apartment, including making cookies. It was a good day.

Look at his squishy little face!

Tummy time...our kids have both HATED it until they got much, much older. And the arms over the head? Both still do that.

Yes, babies love that arms under the head position. I still find Caleb sleeping like that most mornings. Lucas is such a cutie and quite squishy, too. I love those little cheeks. It's good to hear that you are able to get around a little bit. Aren't those slings the best?? I don't know how moms would do anything with their arms if they didn't have one.

Glad you had a good day and could get some stuff done. Actually, the arms above the head isn't just a baby thing--it's my favorite way to sleep, with arms under the pillow and two dogs at my side. Can't believe you're already fitting back into your jeans. Way to go!

What fun pictures. I especially love the laundry photo and the hands up by his head photo. Give him a hug for me.

Mmmm squishy! If I were there I would squeeze him and possibly bite a toe. I can't believe they made you give talks a month after having a kid. I don't even think I was able to make it back to church until after 5 or so weeks. Sounds like he likes white noise- you totally need to go to BBBeyond and get the Homedics Baby Sound Machine. It's like less than $20 and it has several water noises as well as a few lullabies and heartbeat noises. And it projects cute little cartoons (like fish or cow jumping over the moon) onto the wall.
